A Keystone
A keystone is the wedge-shaped stone at the apex of a masonry arch. It is the final piece, or completion piece, placed during construction and locks all the stones into position, allowing the arch or vault to bear weight. As the keystone is the critical piece in connecting a structure, we want to bridge together impact-focused entrepreneurs and investors.
A Collective
We believe the Keystone isn’t one person or company, but a “Collective” whole – a group of people, organizations, and resources coming together for the common good. We want to create an ecosystem where the collective empowers restoration and redemption for the ultimate thriving of our communities.
Our Story
As a result of our experiences in the recent tumultuous social and political climate, we believe it’s up to us to put the world back together. It’s our conviction that current models for doing so (governments, NPOs, profit maximizing businesses) aren’t adequately meeting the challenge. As witnesses to the power of how a business can transform it’s employees, customers, and shareholders for the better, we explored the intersection between economics and community well-being and encountered the concept of “double ROI” – a financial return on capital for the benefit of its owners and investors and a social or environmental return for the benefit of the world. This core concept changed how we viewed ourselves, our businesses, and our economy.
